The Artist
Winston Pike
Winston Pike received his formative art education at the prestigious Museum Art School in Portland, Oregon. He went on to study with internationally-known Hungarian Sculptor Frederic Littman at Portland State University where he graduated with a BA majoring in art and philosophy.
He has exhibited and sold widely in art exhibitions, galleries and juried shows including the Portland Art Museum and Mesa Arizona Art Center. His “Mother and Child” was featured for a year at the Oregon State Capitol as Oregon's unofficial symbol of the United Nations “Year of the Child.”
Pike is now creating a “Family Values Sculpture Exhibit” of several dozen bronze sculptures to be displayed in a secluded woodland valley near Portland, Oregon. He desires to use his art to encourage a return to empathy and non violence at every level - from the interaction of family members to relations between nations.
